2011 Season

In 2011 Adam is hoping to compete in the TOCA British Touring Car Championship. Coverage is shown live on ITV4 for all race weekends and is repeated at various times throughout the week following each round on ITV channels.

All news on the BTCC will be updated monthly on Adams profile.

Snetterton, Norfolk - TimeAttack Series 2010

After a Successful and developmental weekend at Cadwell Park the 1320MINI team were confident that Snetterton was going to see in strong results. In morning pratice the car was set up nicely and Adam was ready to drive hard in the first qualifying session of the day.

The session started off strong, Adam was pushing hard and setting the car up for a flying fastest lap when a spark plug in the engine blew and ruined the bottom end of the engine. This resulted in too much work for the team to carry out before the second qualifying session and they were forced to retire.

Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire - TimeAttack Series 2010

The renowned Cadwell Park saw Round 4 of the TimeAttack Series. 1320MINI, top Mini tuner in europe, requested Adam to be their pro-driver to help set up the car and compete in the weekends TimeAttack races.

TimeAttack is a modified live car event with highly tuned road cars converted into track racing machines. Competing in the Pro class Adam was against the fastest cars in the event. The 1320 race tuned Mini CooperS with 216WHP proved strong all day despite being under powered compared with it's competitors. In the final race Adam finished 2nd in the front wheel drive class.

The 1320 team had yet more plans for the following round at Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk.

Impressive Formula Two Debut

Adam had his first taste of Formula Two machinery last week when he contested the opening day of the test in Valencia.

Having finished third in the 2009 Formula Palmer Audi Championship, Adam impressively adapted to the speed and handling of the Formula Two car. He focused on learning the technical Valencia circuit and the Williams JPH1 early on, running on used tyres in the morning session.

In the afternoon session everybody was given new tyres to use which made it an even playing field and he immediately proved his pace to set the sixth fastest time overall: "I was delighted with that session, considering many of the other drivers have already tested or raced in F2," he said.

"I am extremely pleased with how the test went," noted Adam. "My performance was good and now we're just working hard on finding the budget for F2 next year - hopefully this showing will help interest sponsors!"

"I actually found the car a lot easier to drive than the FPA car. I grew in confidence with every lap and I feel that I could be fighting for podiums in Formula Two."

Looking back at a 2nd year in single seaters, and an F2 test for 3rd place

Formula Palmer Audi 2009 has by far been the most competitive series in his 12 year history. After finishing as Top Rookie in 2008 with 7th place and now 3rd place in 2009, Adam feels he has proved himself as a highly talented young driver.

With 14 top 5 finishes and 8 podium results, his consistency has delivered rewards. Even with far more experienced drivers (with several in Renault, F3, Ford and Formula BMW) he more than matched their abilities with speed and spectacular driving skills. This is quite remarkable when at the beginning of the season Adam was looking like he would not race at all following the withdrawal of his main sponsor. This dramatic loss of funding meant he could not test at any of the tracks. Adam says, "I am now really looking forward to my F2 test in Portugal in December where I hope to prove myself again as one of the most promising young drivers in the current market."
